About Free CV Maker
Free CV Maker is a free online CV builder and resume maker that helps job seekers create professional, ATS-friendly CVs in minutes — without sign-ups, subscriptions or watermarks.
Our mission
Writing a CV shouldn't cost money or require handing your personal details to yet another website. Many “free” resume builders ask you to create an account, then ask for payment before you can download your CV. We built Free CV Maker to be different: every feature is free, there is nothing to sign up for, and you can download your CV as many times as you like.
Privacy first
Your CV is created and processed in your own browser. It isn't uploaded to our servers, and your draft is saved only on your device.
Edit your old CV
Upload a PDF, Word or text CV and we fill in the form for you, so updating an old CV takes minutes, not hours.
ATS-friendly by design
A single-column layout, standard headings and real, selectable text in every PDF — so applicant tracking systems can read it.
Free career guides
Step-by-step articles on writing a CV, beating applicant tracking systems and writing a strong professional summary.
Who Free CV Maker is for
- Students and fresh graduates writing their first CV.
- Experienced professionals who need to update an old CV quickly.
- Career changers who want a clean, focused CV for a new field.
- Anyone applying for jobs at home or abroad, on a computer or a phone.
How we keep it free
Free CV Maker may show advertising to cover hosting and development costs, so the tool can stay free for everyone. The content of your CV is never sent to our servers and is never shared with advertisers by us. You can read exactly how data is handled in our privacy policy.
Our approach to content
Our CV guides are written to be practical and easy to follow. We focus on advice that works across industries and countries, and we update our guides when hiring practices change. If you spot something that's out of date, please let us know.
