Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026. In short: the CV you create or upload stays in your browser. We don't ask you to sign up and we don't store your CV on our servers.

This privacy policy explains what information is processed when you use Free CV Maker at freecvmaker.site (the “Site”), and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

1. Your CV and uploaded files

  • Processed in your browser: everything you type into the CV maker, and any CV file you upload (PDF, DOCX or TXT), is processed locally on your device by your web browser. Your CV content and files are not sent to or stored on our servers.
  • Saved on your device: to save your progress, your draft is stored in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device until you click “Clear all” or clear your browser data. We cannot see or recover it.
  • PDF downloads: your PDF is generated in your browser and saved directly to your device.

2. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, the Site is delivered through service providers that automatically receive technical information when your browser requests a page:

  • Hosting and security (Cloudflare): the Site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • Software libraries (jsDelivr): when you upload a CV or download a PDF, your browser loads open-source libraries from the jsDelivr content delivery network. jsDelivr receives standard request data such as your IP address and browser type. No CV content is sent. See the jsDelivr Privacy Policy.

3. Advertising and cookies

We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show advertisements that help keep the Site free. Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for your consent before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies won't stop the CV maker from working, although ads may be less relevant.

4. When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this information only to reply to you and to improve the Site, and we delete it when it is no longer needed. Please don't send us your full CV unless we ask for it.

5. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for people who are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we don't store your CV or account data, most of your data is under your own control in your browser. For information held by Google, Cloudflare or jsDelivr, please use the links above. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

7. Security

The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because your CV is processed on your device, the safest way to protect it is to keep your device secure and to clear your draft with “Clear all” when you use a shared computer.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
