Quick answers

My old CV didn't import correctly

The importer works best with text-based PDF, Word (.docx) and .txt files. Scanned CVs (photos or image-only PDFs) and old .doc files can't be read in the browser — save the file as .docx or as a PDF from Word or Google Docs and try again. Two-column designs may need a little manual tidying after import.

Some characters are missing from my PDF

For CVs written in non-Latin scripts such as Arabic or Urdu, the download button opens your browser's print window. Choose Save as PDF as the printer to keep every character.

Where is my saved CV?

Your draft is saved in your browser on your current device. It won't appear on another device or browser, and it is removed if you clear your browsing data. Download a PDF copy to keep it safe.

Please protect your privacy

Please don't email us your full CV unless we ask for it to investigate a problem. If you report an import issue, a copy with your personal details removed is perfect. See our privacy policy for details on how we handle messages.
